We will also go deeper into the importance of complying with the standards for that testing.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Specifically, we will explain the procedure we follow at Ypsos Safety when testing our products. In this case we will focus on testing of <a href=\"https:\/\/ypsossafety.com\/pignus-mallas-de-seguridad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PIGNUS,<\/a> the name that refers to our <a href=\"https:\/\/ypsossafety.com\/mallas-de-seguridad-caracteristicas-e-instalacion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">skylight protection safety nets.<\/a><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What Is Product Testing?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Product testing is a set of measurement processes through which we check whether our products meet all the requirements to be placed on the market safely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main aspects assessed in those measurements are:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The properties of the products<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Safety<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Quality<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Compliance with the current standards <\/strong>under which they are manufactured and tested.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throughout our posts we have been naming different standards that refer to how products are manufactured.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Well, there are also specific standards on how to test them. Many of those on manufacturing requirements contain some aspect about testing. Others are simply complemented by another standard more focused on the tests themselves.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Purpose of Testing a Product<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are two purposes when testing products:<\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Complying with the<\/strong> <strong>current<\/strong> <strong>standards<\/strong> that set out the manufacturing requirements the products must meet. This results in safe products.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Subjecting them to their most unfavorable situations<\/strong> to verify that even in those most extreme cases, the products respond appropriately. This is how we guarantee their effectiveness, safety, and purpose.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Importance of Complying with Standards<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If each of us could manufacture products by our own criteria, it is very likely that some important aspect would be overlooked, which could lead to unsafe products, accidents, etc.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is why <strong>UNE, EN, and ISO standards<\/strong>, among others, are created. They unify the different criteria in a single document and result in a safe market. In them, all these aspects can be consulted so that we can all know which requirements to follow for safe manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How Do We Test <a href=\"https:\/\/ypsossafety.com\/pignus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PIGNUS<\/a> at Ypsos Safety?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applying all this information to our <a href=\"https:\/\/ypsossafety.com\/pignus-mallas-de-seguridad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PIGNUS brand<\/a>, the first thing to point out is that <strong>there is no specific standard<\/strong> that dictates how <a href=\"https:\/\/ypsossafety.com\/malla-de-seguridad-anticaidas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">skylight protection nets<\/a> must be manufactured or tested.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this case, <strong>there are parallel standards <\/strong>that refer to the applications of these products as safety elements and that must be subjected to testing to verify their safety.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The standard UNE-EN-1873 Prefabricated accessories for roofing. Individual rooflights of plastics material. This guarantees that all of them have the necessary strength and durability so that neither the weather nor the passage of time deteriorates the materials, resulting in a safe product. All the environments where they may be installed are taken into account.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before the laboratory test, PIGNUS nets undergo <strong>measurements at our facilities<\/strong>, using the necessary measuring instruments to carry out these tests.
