As we mentioned in the first post,<\/a> the Ypsos brand did not come alone; it was accompanied by four sub-brands, the first of which we have already welcomed.<\/p>\n\n

PIGNUS<\/a>, as we discussed in its own introduction, refers to our safety nets.<\/a> They are designed for fall protection for people, such as on roofs with translucent panels or domed skylights.<\/p>\n\n

In this post it is time to welcome Ypsos’s second sub-brand, ANANKE.<\/p>\n\n

ANANKE<\/strong> is the name of our SAFETY GUARDRAILS<\/strong>, standardized in accordance with EN 14122-3. The name comes from Greek and means “restriction” or “necessity\/what is necessary.”<\/p>\n\n

The link between its name and its meaning lies in the fact that guardrails are considered collective protection.<\/a> As we mentioned in previous posts, and according to Law 31\/95 of November 8 on Occupational Health and Safety, collective protection takes priority over personal protection.<\/p>\n\n

In conclusion, in regulatory terms it is “more necessary,” and that is how we justify the link between name and meaning.<\/p>\n\n

TECHNICAL DATA<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

As safety manufacturers, all of our products have been tested following a series of measures, technical specifications, and standards.<\/p>\n\n

The features of our safety guardrail are broken down into several points:<\/p>\n\n

    \n
  • Material<\/strong> used: extruded aluminum, both mill finish and anodized.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The post<\/strong> contains plastic elements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Round tubes<\/strong> for the handrail in three-meter lengths.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    One thing worth mentioning about the anodized extruded aluminum guardrails is that they are designed to be installed in marine or corrosive environments.<\/p>\n\n

    USES<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

    The main function of safety guardrails is to protect people on a surface two meters high from falling.<\/p>\n\n

    This creates a safe space for anyone who has to perform any work in that location.<\/p>\n\n

    Safety guardrails are one of the preferred protection devices in many cases because they do not require any specific training for the worker.<\/p>\n\n

    These fall protection elements are usually installed in different areas:<\/p>\n\n

      \n
    • Roofs<\/strong>, as perimeter protection for anyone on them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Walkways or platforms<\/strong>, installed at the edges to prevent falls.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Floor openings<\/strong>, such as domed skylights on a roof.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Any area where the worker could fall onto machinery or hazardous substances.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

      In general, any place where there is a risk of falling and safety guardrails are the best option.<\/p>\n\n
