2024 at Ypsos Safety

ypsos safety products in 2024

As is our custom at the end of each year at Ypsos Safety, we are going to review everything we did during 2024. From new designs, manufacturing, and installations to the way we make all of this visible, including raising awareness about the importance of safety at height.

Manufacturing of Fall Arrest Safety Systems at Ypsos Safety

In 2024, Ypsos Safety continued advancing in the design and manufacture of safety systems for work at height, with the aim of reducing fall-related occupational risks.

We have expanded our catalog, while consolidating the products that were already on the market.

PIGNUS

On one hand, there is the brand PIGNUS, a safety net dedicated to protecting different types of skylights. It can be found installed on different types of roofs, such as sandwich panel or trapezoidal metal sheet.

In addition, we have specific solutions for roof windows and other structures. These nets have been tested in certified laboratories to ensure their effectiveness and durability.

Within Pignus there are three sub-brands, each specific to a type of skylight:

  • Pignus Panel: Single-twist welded mesh designed to protect skylights installed on sandwich panel roofs.
  • Pignus Skylight Fix: Zinc-plated metal tray designed to protect roof windows on all types of roofs; it can be installed on the inside or the outside.

The main function of this safety system is to protect users who access a roof or surface to carry out any task from possible falls through the translucent panel. It also prevents tools or items from falling into the building.

ANANKE

Our flagship safety system, the safety guardrail, has evolved throughout this year into a complete, robust collective protection system that complies with the guidelines of the European standard UNE EN ISO 14122.3.

Like the PIGNUS brand, ANANKE has several sub-brands corresponding to different types of safety guardrails.

One of the types that is already designed, manufactured, tested, and installed is the counterweighted guardrail, Ananke Weight.

  • Ananke Weight: self-supporting guardrail with concrete counterweights for collective protection, which can be installed on any type of roof without having to drill into the surface.

The remaining three types of guardrails are designed and manufactured, pending testing and, if necessary, corrections or improvements.

  • Ananke Plate: guardrail with fixing to sheet metal floors
  • Anake Ground: guardrail with floor fixing.
  • Ananke Wall: guardrail with wall fixing.

All safety guardrails within the ANANKE brand are available in an inclined version.

Their main function is to prevent falls from edges or level changes on roofs, rooftops, structures, access to machines, and other surfaces at height. Because they are collective protection, they ensure the safety of everyone who accesses any of the places mentioned.

REBRIK and ORYG

Other product lines we offer are related to access systems such as ladders and crossovers, or custom crossing walkways.

  • Rebrik: this brand refers to our access ladders compliant with the UNE EN ISO 14122 standard, and they are essential systems in any industrial environment, especially when safe access to machines, platforms, and other elevated areas must be ensured.
  • Oryg: the name we give to our crossovers compliant with the UNE EN ISO 14122 standard. They are structures designed to make it easier for users to pass by clearing possible obstacles and fragile areas, ensuring their safety and comfort.

Both safety systems are designed and manufactured to measure according to each customer’s needs.

Communication and Prevention at Ypsos Safety

This year we strengthened our presence on social media by sharing news every day about workplace fall-from-height accidents, raising awareness of the importance of personal protective equipment and fall arrest safety systems.

We also give guidelines on how to avoid certain accidents, which safety devices are necessary for each job, and general information on prevention.

  • Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ypsossafety/

Besides social media, on our work-at-height safety blog we share weekly posts on occupational health and safety, PPE, fall arrest systems, and safety at height in general.

For us it is very important to inform, spread the word, and raise awareness about the importance of guaranteeing the safety of workers who have to perform different types of tasks more than two meters above the ground.

With this proactive approach we aim to consolidate a culture of prevention in the industrial environment.

You can explore more details about their products and activities at Ypsos Safety and on our social media.
